Regarding the MANCHESTER RAIN / WAVO Remix Contest: the standard of entries was very high! We were surprised by some of the clever and brilliant interpretations of the original song!
We all disagreed and fought over who should make the final cut… in fact, one of the team’s favorite list of winners was, sometimes, completely different to another persons! So there were times that there was no overlap, of who we thought should win! It’s been a tough task!
Having said all of this; there had to be four winners… we managed to get it down to around 12 remix submissions; that could have made the winners list. And then to six! Of course; we had to find ways to get it down to four. And so, if a remix needed work on the mix or master, for example, then we may have had to pass on that submission; it was very close! VERY close.
And so with a special shout-out to everyone who took part; on this occasion the winners are:
